Appreciating the Rail budget-2014-15, leader of opposition Ajay Bhatt has said that for the first time, the Union Government has laid focus on Uttarakhand in the budget since independence. By making provision for rail connectivity to Char Dham shrines, the Modi Government has done commendable work because this will change the scenario of the State because it will attract national and international tourists. Ultimately, it will boost the State economy because tourism is backbone of the State economy.
The Union Government has given special train between Haridwar to Rameshwaram and this will help the domestic pilgrims to Uttarakhand without changing their train. Even they would be able to enjoy the beauty of Corbet park. With this decision, State residents whose livelihood depends upon tourism will get big leap in their business.
The Union Government has announced bullet train, high speed train and semi speed train for several destination. This will reduce the travel time between one place to other. With this announcement, the Government has shown their intention about how they planning to give return the people of their tax. Bullet train will reduce the travel time and people, esepcially who had to travel at least 48 hour to 72 hours, will reach to their destination early. They would be able to be connected with their native places because of high speed train.
The Union Government has decided to connect nine cities with high speed train and introduced 58 new trains. Besides it they have also taken care of passengers convenience and their health. Now they (passenger) would be able to buy their ticket from post office and even they would get RO water at station.
Now platform ticket would be used as parking ticket so that people would not make beeline at the counter. Even government has taken care of women passenger because they would deploy women police constable in women coaches. "For this, they are going to recruit 4,000 women constable in Railway protection force. It will provide security to the women and will also provide employment to the women as well. This rail budget is a good budget and common man will reap its benefit in future."
