In an endeavour to support the State’s potential in organic farming, the Yes Bank had unveiled a knowledge report on the potential for organic spices in Uttarakhand during the recently held Investors Summit in Dehradun. The study recommends a three-pronged strategy through identification of key crops, focus on value-addition activities for export and formulation of special schemes for each of the identified sub-sectors.

The bank’s group president (Government banking, multinationals corporate banking and strategic government advisory) Nikhil Sahni appreciated the investors summit held earlier this month.

He said that the summit was a commendable initiative to showcase the potential of the State across key focus sectors.  He, further, said that the State Government had undertaken several progressive initiatives towards improving governance which will, further, enhance ease of doing business and attract world class investors.

He expressed confidence that the MoUs signed during the summit will translate into tangible projects which will usher in an accelerated phase of development to meet the sustainable development goals as the State commemorates its 25th year of formation in 2025.
