Relief materials received from different States at Maharana Pratap Sports College, Raipur, are being transported to the disaster affected districts after demands are made by district magistrate concerned.
Those district officials assigned on receiving relief material from Railways Station, Transport Nagar and other places and storing it at the sports college have been directed to work efficiently and honestly, said Dehradun district magistrate BVRC Purushottam on Sunday.
Chairing a meeting with district officers, Purushottam said that relief materials are received in Dehradun from different government and non Government organisations across country.
In order to complete works related to storage and transport of relief materials he has appointed district officers as nodal officers.Officials involved have been directed to update nodal officers about received relief materials and transported relief materials on daily basis.
On the occasion, PWD engineers were directed to reopen roads blocked due to incessant rains in the district. Among those present on the occasion were SDM Ranjana Verma, ADM (Finance) Jharna Kamthan, MDDA Secretary Bansidhar Tiwari and others.
