The State Government will make all possible efforts to solve the problems of Tibetan community. Chief Minister Harish Rawat gave this assurance at a meeting with the Home Minister of Central Tibetan Administration Kalon Dolma Gyari. In reciprocation, Gyari said that Tibetans consider Uttarakhand to be their home. She extended her gratitude on behalf of the Tibetan Community.
The CM asked the Sports Minister Dinesh Agarwal and Chief Secretary N Ravishankar to be in touch with Central Tibetan Administration and address their issues. He directed the Chief Secretary to link Tibetan handicraft to tourism and to extend support to the Tibetan educational institutes of the State. Others present on the occasion included Chief Secretary N Ravishankar and Tibetan Settlement Officer Jampa Funtsok.
