Rawat flays Opp move to boycott House

PNS

State Chief Minister Harish Rawat, who had to face tough situation due to stand-off between Opposition and treasury bench over the so-called constitutional crisis, used his budget speech to criticise the opposition. Interestingly, he made around 45-minute long speech to highlight their Government's plan for next one year and utilise his abilities to condemn the Opposition decision to boycott the House.

CM Rawat alleged that during BJP regime opposition MlA and MP was not being given proper respect. For instance, being a Uttarakhand MP he had gone before Prime Minister for seeking additional budget for the preparation of Kumbha Mela-2010 but they did not mention my name in any of the projects.

He appreciated the congress MlAs namely Dr Shailendra Mohan Singhal and Ganesh Godiyal, who gave positive suggestion to the treasury bench about how they can do better for the State. Criticisising the BJP, Rawat said that in first half they created ruckus on incomplete Government order and second half they again created wrong impression that there is constitutional crisis. They make criticism for the sake of criticism only.
