After cornering the State Government over the slower pace of development activities in the Garhwal and Kumaon divisions of Uttarakhand, BJP State president Tirath Singh Rawat said that discussion on various issues would be held in the BJP party workers’ one day conclave slated to start on Sunday.

While addressing the mediapersons, Rawat said that the National General Secretary (organisation) Ram lal will likely to address the gathering of party workers. He lamented that Congress-led State Government had not heard Opposition party’s voice and refused to order CBI probe in SIDCUl land scam.

He said that the State Government should also order probe on Bhatti Commission and its report as the reports were easily available in the market before it was tabled in the Vidhan Sabha.  Rawat claimed that the party candidates will emerge victorious in the local bodies and general elections as well and claimed that party is fully prepare for the elections. After lambasting the State Government over the development issues, Rawat has alleged that higher and mountainous parts of the State lacks basic amenities like road, potable water, electricity, health and schools and that forced the villagers to traverse several kilometres to get the basic needs.

According to him, State Government is leaving no chance to take credit of all the beneficiary projects and schemes introduced during the BJP regime in Uttarakhand.

It is to be noted that Rawat will officially take the charge of BJP State president on Sunday. He also claimed that the State Government is yet to take effective steps for rehabilitating natural calamity hit victims in Ukhimath and Uttarkashi.

BS Chufal, former BJP State president, Vinod Chamoli, Mayor, Suresh Joshi, general secretary, Satish lakhera, State spokesman, Naresh Bansal, and Umesh Agarwal were also present.
