Raj Bhawan's Golf Course to get a facelift

PNS

The Golf Course at Raj Bhawan, Nainital, will be modernised and equipped with more amenities. The facilities for providing training in golf will be upgraded in order to produce excellent golf players. Uttarakhand Governor KK Paul has taken these initiatives — including the one where the golf course has been opened for school students and other golfers.

Before this, only national level golf tournaments were held at this golf course. In October this year, school students received training at the Golf Club and a tournament for schools was also held.

This morning, Uttarakhand Governor Paul reviewed the golf course along with members of the Raj Bhawan Golf Club and veteran golfers, discussing with them and taking their views on how the facilities can be increased and the Golf course made hi-tech.

Golf Club Captain Harish Chandra Shah said that the golf club was providing training to school students free of cost. With more facilities, more tournaments could be held. He said more equipment and machines placed at the golf course would make it more convenient for golfers.

Present at the discussions were Justice JCS Rawat, secretary to the GovernorArun Dhaundiyal, secretary (Golf Club) YS Rawat, commissioner (Kumaon) AS Nayal, Sudhir Shah, ARTandon, Gita Shah, Gl Shah, PS Bora, Kamal Tripathi, Ved Shah, HlShah and several golfers.
