Uttarakhand Meteorological Centre has forecast rain/snow at isolated places especially in Kumaon region of Uttarakhand on Wednesday.
Dehradun witnessed cloudy sky and drizzling throughout the day on Tuesday. light rainfall at isolated places in plains and rain with snowfall in higher reaches of State brought the temperature down. Uttarakhand Meteorological Centre director Anand Sharma attributed this to western disturbances.
Areas in higher altitudes like Tapovan, Malari, Joshimath, Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, Kailash Mansarovar route and Auli might have been received moderate to heavy snowfall due to western disturbances, he said. The maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 22.5°C and 13 °C respectively in Dehradun on Tuesday.
