To suggest research related activities helpful in planning and acquisition of research, a meeting of the Research Advisory Committee (RAC) of the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) was held on Monday.
Director General, Petroleum Federation of India, Delhi, RK Malhotra, Rochish Thokar of IIT Bombay, Prabhat Dwivedi of IIT Kanpur, Rekha Singhal of ICT Bombay, Prasenjit Mondal of IIT Roorkee, Ajay Aggarwal of CEERI Pilani and Group Head, IIRS-Dehradun, Prashant K Champati Ray are the members of the RAC.
In the meeting it was advised to increase and create deep collaboration with Indian Oil Corporation ltd (IOCl) and Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) including international networking opportunities.
The RAC members appreciated the efforts by UPES to develop Research Culture by providing internal funding for faculty members to test the feasibility of their research ideas. UPES have initiated various innovative programs to nurture the research activities and innovation of direct social needs.
