The Civil Judge, Junior Division, has ordered the St Joseph's Academy to state its position in a case filed by Majra resident Ashutosh Gulati in which he had stated that during admission, three-year-old children and their parents were interviewed by the school.

Talking to The Pioneer, Gulati said that he had approached the academy for the enrollment of his child. He and his three-year-old child were interviewed against Supreme Court’s order in this regard.

The academy officials did not reply when he had repeatedly approached them to know the admission status of his child.

“In the month of January this year, the school official said that my son had not qualified for the admission, but did not give the reason for his disqualification,” he added.

Following this, Gulati had approached the court and his plea was heard in the court of Civil Judge Junior Division in-charge Gajan Devi.

The court has ordered the school to state its position on May 20.  The petitioner had requested the court for the cancellation of school’s admissions in the current academic year 2013-14.
