The HNB Garhwal Central University Non-teaching Association and students’ union protest against the University Administration has entered the fifth day in support of their demand on Friday.

The aggrieved agitators are not allowing the Registrar, Assistant registrar, Dean and others including the Vice Chancellor to their offices in the administrative block since October 21.

The non teaching staff and students are annoyed on the University administration that their demand were not kept before the Executive council of the University in the meeting held on October 17 in Dehradun. They have completely stopped the work of the administrative block and these officers are not being allowed to enter their respective offices.

They also shouted slogan against the University administration officer and demanded the resignation of Vice-Chancellor Prof SP Singh.

Garhwal Central University Non-Teaching Association President Rajendra Bhandari accused the University administration for not including the 8-point demand of the employees in the University Executive Council meeting and these demands were turn down by the Vice-Chancellor so employees were forced to launch the agitation.

Bhandari stressed that the agitation will continue till the demands are not met. The Registrar, Assistant registrar, Dean and other officer were not allowed to enter into their offices by the agitators, but the agitating employees were present in the office. The students are annoyed due to the reason that their demand of campus weight age was not put in the executive council meeting.

The non teaching association demanded that the meeting of University Executive council should be held within a month for the consideration of the demand of university employees.
