Investigation started after a woman pharmacist lodged charge of molestation against a doctor of the Government Doon Medical College, Dehradun KB Joshi at Kotwali police station. The complainant said that the doctor had molested her at his private clinic on Subhash Road in Dehradun on Tuesday. As per the complaint, the molestation happened just two days after she was recruited at the private clinic run by the accused doctor. Police sources said that based on the complaint, a case (FIR:173/17) under section 354 of IPC has been registered against Joshi in Kotwali police station.
A police team was formed to thoroughly investigate the case, said SP City Ajay Singh, adding that medical examination of the survivor would be conducted too.
On the other hand, some sources aver that the case is that of the doctor being framed for an issue related to the demand for some certificate.
