For the sons of ex servicemen aspiring to join armed forces and State police, free pre recruitment training is being organised by the district soldier welfare office. The District Soldier Welfare officer Colonel D K Kaushik (Rtd) said that the 56 day training camp would start from November 14. The camp would have free boarding and lodging facility. He said that the selection of candidates of Dehradun district would be held at Military hospital compound on November 10 and 11. The candidates should have completed 17 and half years of age but should not be more than 21 years. The candidates should have passed matriculation with at least 45 per cent of marks and should have a weight of 46 kg with a chest dimension of 77-82 cm. Col Kaushik said that the aspirants should bring the medical certificate, discharge book of father and indemnity bond along with them.
