MANOJ KUMAR

The State vice president of 20 point programme implementation committee and Badrinath MlA Rajendra Singh Bhandari said that funds allocated in various schemes under the programme are not spent on time.

Due to this, the performance of various districts under the 20 point programme is not satisfactory in the State.

Bhandari said, "In order to ensure schemes under the twenty point programme are executed effectively in the State, we conduct meeting with district officers on monthly basis".

Bhandari expressed his concern at poor performance of various districts, including Dehradun, in execution of 20 points programme.

"Due to some lapses in the implementation, districts lose the position and performance of various schemes under the programme goes down and intended beneficiaries are waiting for the benefits under

the scheme.

On that account, the execution of the 20-point programme has been adversely affected.

The programme aims at eradicating poverty and improve the quality of life of the poor and the under privileged population across the country," he added.
