Police is still stumbling in the dark over any clue leading to the crack of the daring daylight robbery that occurred around noon on Monday in front of a
private bank in the heart of the city.
A senior police official informed that police team is now examining the CCTV footages and gathering satellite data to close in on the accused. One team has been sent to Moradabad for further investigation, the official added.
The robbery occurred near Shankar Ashram when Neeraj Goyal, an accountant working for the Era Infra Construction ltd, withdrew Rs Three lakhs from the
bank and approached the company’s jeep standing on the opposite side of the bank.
When he was about to get in the vehicle two unidentified bike –borne youths snatched the bag from him and fled. Neeraj hails from Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh.
