Dehradun police have conducted verification drives in various areas of the city. In view of increasing burglary, chain snatching and other crimes in the State capital, the district police had conducted verification drive at places where migrant labourers are living in. SP City Ajay Singh said that verification drive was conducted at Aman Vihar, Ekta Vihar, Mayur Vihar and other places nearer to these places. Around 55 suspected persons were verified during the drive, police said. Such drive would continue in the State capital to complete verification of the city’s residents, he added.
