In protest against the use of force by the police against the Ph.D qualified candidates at Haldwani recently the Uttarakhand Ph.D holders association organised a candle march in the State capital on Thursday. The Ph.D qualified candidates were cane charged when they were protesting at higher education Directorate in Haldwani against their non inclusion in the ongoing interviews of the guest lecturers for the government colleges of the state.
Speaking on the occasion the President of the Garhwal unit of the association , Devendra Rawat said that attack on the peaceful Ph.D candidates exposes the mindset of the government. He said that the CM Harish Rawat should give an explanation on the lathi charge. The protesters raised slogans against the higher education minister on the occasion.
