PCC chief lauds State Budget

PNS

Uttarakhand PCC president Kishore Upadhyaya has termed the Budget for 2015-16 presented by the State Government in the Assembly as a progressive and development oriented Budget. Terming the budget as the “common man’s Budget”, the PCC chief welcomed the budgetary provisions while adding that it was a reflection of efficient fiscal management.

“Considering the lack of cooperation by the Central Government, the presentation of a balanced Budget is commendable. All sections of the society have been taken care of in the Budget. Considering budget as the main parameter, the Congress-led State Government has consistently increased the size of the annual plan.”

The annual plan will facilitate development of infrastructure in transport, power, medical health, education, potable water and agriculture, he added. The priorities in the annual plan will also pave the way for developmental activities in border and remote areas. Our Government has proved its commitment to achieving the integrated development of the State, Upadhyaya said.

He further said the Government has taken special care of the poor in the Budget by making provisions for various schemes aimed at their welfare.  PCC spokesman Mathuradatt Joshi and chief coordinator Jot Singh Bisht have also welcomed the budget.
