The election of Pauri Vyapar Sabha (Traders’ Association) will be held on August 9. Stating this Uttarakhand Prantiya Uddayog Vypar Pratinidhi Mandal State secretary Abhaya Goel and Pauri Vyapar Sabha president Virendra Singh Rawat said on Wednesday the date had been fixed unanimously. Notably, the election to the traders’ body had not been held for last few years.Goel said the registration of the traders would continue till July 18.
Only those who were trading from permanent structures will be registered. The hawkers and those trading on the roadsides would not be entitled for the registration. The nomination for the post of the president, secretary and treasurer of Pauri town would be received till July 28 and the date of withdrawal of nominations had been fixed on July 30.The result of the election would be declared on the same day.
