Pauri senior superintendent of police Nivedita Kukreti Kumar instructed all the officers concerned to crack the pending crime cases at the earliest while expressing anger over the slow disposal of such cases.
She said that there are many crimes left pending in different circles. She sounded annoyed over non- implementation of the decisions taken during the previous meeting. On crimes, she said that things have been controlled a little as compared to last year. In May 2016, 12 accused had been arrested in 12 cases with 4.49 grams of smack and 200 grams of charas had been seized under NDPS Act. While under Excise Act, 18 persons had been arrested in 18 cases and 459 bottle of unlicensed liquor and 2.3 kg of dry bhang had been seized, she added.
