Appreciating the works of Swami Ramdev and Acharya Bal Krishna, the Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said, “You can donate an eye but not vision. We had Ayurved and yoga as tradition given by our sages but the Patanjali yog peeth run by Baba Ramdev and Acharya Bal Krishna have converted that knowledge into wealth through scientific research on Ayurvedic herbs in a professional way.” He said drinking Gomutra ark (distillate) had cured his diabetes.
Promotion of Swadeshi, yoga and Ayurveda has been the biggest contribution to the world by Patanjali group, he said. Taking a dig at multinational companies, Gadkari said, the Baba will be able to wipe off the MNCs soon and promote Swadeshi products.
The Minister regretted the fact that while China was filing two lakh patents per annum India had remained stuck at 2000. “We are paying Rs 70,000 crore by way of royalty to MNCs every year, Swadeshi should be promoted by all means. Increase your exports,” the Minister said. He also stressed on the need of green technology, bio fuel, bio plastic and cited recent Delhi-Meerut Expressway built from solid waste of Ghazipur as an example.
He suggested the use of second generation ethanol made from molasses of wheat, sugarcane, rice and municipal waste and Bio-pet bottles in packaging of products as American companies were doing for Coca cola.
Swami Awdheshanand Giri of Juna Akhara and eminent journalist Ved Pratap Vaidik blessed and wished that the Jadi Buti Diwas would turn global soon and the Government must work on getting it declared as World Herbal Day by United Nations just as PM Narendra Modi had proposed for the International Yoga Day in UN. With this, 6.5 billion people of the world would be benefitted, said Ved Pratap Vaidik.
After India Today’s cover page, now Baba Ramdev has been chosen for the cover page of Golden Book of World Records owned by an American group with the tag line “Most people performing Yoga simultaneously achieved by Patanjali Yog Samiti at World Yoga day with 109850 people under the guidance of yog guru Swami Ramdev ji at Faridabad performing at one place one time”.
