The Century Pulp and Paper Mill organised a programme on Electricity Safety Day.

Speaking on the occasion, the Uttarakhand Power Corporation limited, security officer GC Pandey stressed on the need to ensure that only properly trained personnel are allowed to undertake electrical tasks so as to help achieve a zero accident rate in the sector.

This will not only prevent accidents but also help in conserving electricity.  Addressing participants in the workshop organised by the human resource development department of the mill, Pandey said that the mill should maintain its record in the sphere of electrical safety. It is important to organise seminars and workshops from time to time in order to keep the employees aware of various aspects of electrical safety. Only trained personnel should be allowed to handle electrical tasks to help achieve zero accident rate.

Cent percent electricity conservation can be achieved if each employee considers it his/her moral responsibility to redress power line leakage.Presiding over the workshop, the mill’s senior general manager KB Chandna spoke of the efforts undertaken in the mill for electrical safety.
