Reacting to the deadly terrorist attack by alleged Pakistani terrorists in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir on early Sunday morning, Chief Minister Harish Rawat said that the attack slaying 17 of the Indian soldiers need to be adequately retaliated.
“We are alarmed as the youths from Uttarakhand are falling to the terror guns at regular intervals. We demand retaliation to stop such carnage once and for all,” CM said while taking queries on the matter from the media on Monday.
Told by the media persons that BJP while in the Opposition used to raise hackles when such terror strikes happened during the UPA regime, the CM chose to exercise restraint, saying that this was not the time to resort to blame game.
“The nation is anguished. I am of the firm opinion that all across the political spectrum should stand solidly behind the Centre during this hour of crisis to help it take on the dreaded terror menace apropriately,” CM said.
