Tearing into to the Chief Minister’s statement that Ruby Choudhary case was too minor to be referred to CBI, Ajay Bhatt, leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly, said that the CM must account for why his police have failed to solve the riddle despite one and half month having elapsed since the matter came into focus. “I am convinced that a CBI probe alone can unravel the mystery,” he averred.
The State Government must clear things regarding the role of those who are supposed to have helped the woman to stay in the academy for close to seven months. “Even it is clear to a layman that it would not have been possible for Ruby to stay there had not there been a complicity of a section of its officials. Things must be laid bare as law does not discriminate among people on any ground, be it status or so,” he affirmed.
“Keeping the seriousness of the matter in view I earlier suggested CBI inquiry. Now I am sticking to the same view. The prestige of an esteemed institution cannot be trifled with. The case must be cracked no matter whichever agency would do it,” Bhatt said.
