The district administration, Almora, has asked the officials concerned to ensure cent per cent utilisation of the funds released to their respective departments under the district plan.
Out of Rs 51.07 crore approved under the district plan for the year 2014-2015, an amount of Rs 17.70 crore has already been released to different departments for carrying out development works, according to the Almora district administration.
More so, out of Rs 17.70 crore released so far, an amount of Rs 2.82 crore has already been spent by various departments on developmental works in the district, added the officials concerned of the Almora district administration.
At the same time, the district administration, Almora, has also directed the officials concerned of different departments to prepare work plan of their respective departments for the release of next installment of the funds.
It has also advised the officials concerned to carry out important developmental projects on a priority basis.
Besides, the district administration of Almora has also emphasised on the need to highlight the Government’s popular policies, directing the district education department to organise awareness camps in schools every Tuesday to make the girl students aware of the Gaura Devi Kanyadhan Yojana.
Besides, the officials concerned have been asked to highlight other welfare schemes too so as to ensure that the unprivileged sections of the population can make most of these schemes, said the district administration, Almora.
