State Cabinet Minister for Drinking Water and School Education Mantri Prashad Naithani has directed the officials concerned in Bageshwar to improve the drinking water supply across the district during the summer season.
Reviewing the progress of different developmental schemes at a meeting in Bageshwar, Naithani stressed on the need to work on issues related to drinking water supplies and matters related to disaster management on priority basis. Besides, he also asked the officials concerned to improve the education level in the district, saying presence of teachers in schools is equally important to ensure proper attendance of students in schools along with providing good education to them. The minister also called for providing basic services like drinking water, electricity etc in schools so that a proper environment could be provided to the students for studying. He directed the officials of the district education department to conduct regular checking in schools to put basic services in place in the school campuses.
