Commissioner of Kumaon AS Nayal, has directed the officials concerned to fully ban the use of polythene bags in the region. Stressing on the need to maintain cleanliness, Nayal has directed all the SDMs and officials from different civic bodies to strongly ban use of polythene bags in their respective areas.
He also directed the officials concerned to conduct regular checkings in market places. More so, take necessary action against those who are found selling or giving polythene bags, asserted the Commissioner of Kumaon. At the same time, he has also asked the officials concerned to launch a special anti-polythene and cleanliness drive on Monday and Tuesday.
