Rumours are being spread about the presence of a tiger in the FRI campus while officials pointed out that this was impossible because among various reasons, the campus was not suitable habitat for a tiger. Some people are also using social media to spread the rumour about a tiger being on campus. The FRI Silviculture division head Kunal Satyarthi said, “I too have been coming across these rumours which are totally baseless because of various reasons. Basically, the habitat in the campus is not suited to a tiger apart from which tigers have not been seen in this region of the State for decades,” he added.
