Officials of different Government departments who have yet not been able to get their names enrolled in the photo electoral roll, could do till March 23.
According to the directions of the Election Commission of India (ECI), all such officials may approach their respective area tehsildars to get their names enrolled in the photo electoral roll by filling form-6.
With a large number of employees are being deployed in election duties, such polling personnel have been given the facility of exercising their franchise through postal ballots as per the ECI guidelines, said the officials of the Udham Singh Nagar district election office.
The officials further informed that those officials who have not been able to get their names enrolled would now do so till March 23. Such employees are supposed to approach their respective area tehsildars to get their names registered.
Meanwhile, district election office has directed head of different Government departments to provide lists of such officials whose names have to be included in the photo electoral roll on priority basis by March 21 so that these lists could be submitted to the ECI and state election commission.
The election office also asked the respective SDMs and tehsildars to take necessary steps in this regard.
