The ongoing row in which the Education department had suspended four teachers of Government Inter College (GIC), Bullawala, for not following transfer order necessitated after rationalisation of school and putting pressure on officers of department to cancel the transfer order, took a new turn on Wednesday with Director General (DG) School Education, D Senthil Pandian, ordering enquiry on alleged obscene act by one of the teachers.
The Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Dehradun SP Khali visited the school and found that a FIR against one of the suspended teacher Ajay Singh was lodged on August 08 last year but the Principal of the school tried to cover the matter. Incidentally Ajay Singh is an office bearer of teachers’ organisation, the Rajkeeya Shikshak Sangh.
On the report of CEO the Principal was immediately asked to relieve and report to the office of additional director Pauri. The CEO in his visit of the school found that only 141 students were present against 511 enrolled students.
