A delegation of the National Students Union of India (NSUI) met Chief Minister Harish Rawat and apprised him about the recent decision of the High Court. As per the court order the colleges will give admission to the students on merit basis only. This order has marred their hope to get enrolled in some prestigious colleges. They said that they respect high court order and also understand the importance of quality education but students’ number should be considered. CM assured that state would file review petition in court shortly.
In reciprocation CM Rawat has assured them that government would do everything to address their grievances. Now state would apprise the high court about the state government steps to impart quality education in their colleges.
