Union Ministry of Communication will release a postal stamp and a new special cover on historic Nanda Devi Rajjaat Yatra following efforts taken by Rajya Sabha MP Tarun Vijay. Completing all the formalities, Chief Post Master General Uttarakhand MS Ramanujan has given approval to the design of stamp.
On his success, Tarun Vijay extended thanks to the Postal department and defined the occasion as historic one. He also extended congratulation to all residents of the State. Some of the copies of the special cover, which has been published in limited numbers, would be available for Rs 5 after August 20. Dehradun-based scientist Abhay Mishra and Rajesh Verma have designed the postal stamp and special cover.
