Uttarakhand PCC vice president Suryakant Dhasmana, who lost election to the post of Dehradun mayor to BJP candidate Vinod Chamoli, categorically said that there is a need to review why party lost in local body polls, especially in Dehradun. He also made it clear that he is not disappointed with the result because he knows how he lost the election.

Interacting with media person at party office on Thursday, Dhasmana said that he knows how party leaders had run crusade against me. By doing this they have managed to defeat me in the recently concluded mayor election but they did not realize how much party has received dent with this. There is a need to review the performance of each leaders, who were supposed to canvass for party during election, because he did not get support of leaders.

Instead of supporting me they organised parallel campaign to defame me. It seems they do not bother about party and their only intention was how to defeat me. Although Dhasmana did not name anyone but he has given enough hints about the leaders who worked against him despite being part of election campaign committee.

He alleged that despite having an allegation of killer of Rajya Aandolankari he had received good number of votes where people, who reside after migration from hills, are in majority. Although he did not get votes from Muslim dominated areas so there is need to have investigation why it happened soIJ At the same time he expressed gratitude towards the public who gave me more than 57000 votes. By showing faith on me they have given me new hope so he will continue his crusade on how to improve state capital infrastructure.

Scathing attack on party leaders he made it clear that Dhasmana is not going to leave party in any circumstances so it would be better for everyone to do healthy politics. Instead of maligning the image of individual they should concentrate on how to take party ahead because the result will have far reaching consequences.
