In order to save power, use of lED bulbs should be promoted and popularised among the masses. This bulb is cost- effective and environment- friendly, said Dehradun DM Ravinath Raman after
inaugurating two-day-long workshop on ‘proper utilisation of energy and its conservation’ which was begun in Dehradun on Tuesday.
He said, “We have limited natural resources and we can’t be dependent on it for longer period. We will have to save the energy and adopt alternative energy for our domestic and industrial uses.” He stressed on conservation of energy and appealed the people to install lED bulbs in their homes, offices and other places. This workshop was organised under the aegis of Uttarakhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (UREDA) and Uttarakhand Industry Association.
