'NDA Govt is anti-farmer'

PNS

At a time when unseasonal rain and hail have caused considerable damage to agriculture in Uttarakhand, the apathy of the Centre towards this issue will also be raised in the Kisan rally called by Congress president Sonia Gandhi in Delhi on April 19. Addressing a meet of party leaders along with Chief Minister Harish Rawat and party State co-incharge Sanjay Kapoor, the Uttarakhand PCC chief Kishore Upadhyay exhorted the party cadre to ensure their presence in large numbers for the protest at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi against the Central Government. Upadhyay accused the NDA Government of being anti-farmer for bringing the land Acquisition Bill.

Chief minister Harish Rawat said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Government was ignoring various sections of society especially farmers. Stressing that the Congress strongly opposes the land Acquisition Bill brought by the BJP, Rawat exhorted the party members to make the rally on April 19 a turning point for the Congress.
