The Additional District Magistrate (ADM), administration Jharna Kamthan convened a meeting of officials of sports, school education and other departments on Thursday for preparation of the 60th National under 17 Volley ball competition. The event would be organsied in the city from November 18 -22 at Pavilion ground in Dehradun.
The ADM said that the officials concerned should ensure that the task assigned to them is completed properly on time.
She told the Chief Education Officer (CEO) to get in touch with the officials who are not present in the meeting and ensure that tasks are assigned to them. She said that participants from 26 states would attend the event and proper arrangements for their stay should be done. Kamthan asked the officials from police department to ensure safety of the participants. The officials of medical, health and family welfare department were asked to provide doctors, medicines and ambulance services during the national competition.
She ordered the officials of Power Corporation for uninterrupted power supplies during the event. The officials of the transport department were asked by the ADM to engage buses for the transport of the players during the event. The meeting was attended by SP city Ajay Singh, Joint Director Education B S Negi, AMNA Harshvardhan, Chief Education Officer S P Khali, District sports officer S K Sarki and others.
