She had been earlier admitted at the hospital after she had been taken ill. It is learnt that she had been admitted at the home after she had got pregnant. Sources say she has been staying in the shelter home since May 16 last year.
However, it is not known whether she is mentally challenged or not. The number of the home inmates taken ill and admitted at the premier State-run facility, is now 15, said additional secretary (social welfare) Manoj Chandran.
He said that five of them have been admitted at the hospital for medical check- up. “We are taking no chances, given their condition,” he added. Most of the inmates now admitted at the hospital are suffering from anemia, he further said.
