A delegation from Nandadevi Raj Jat Committee met the CM Vijay Bahuguna regarding the preparations for this Yatra to be held next year. Due to the recent Uttarakhand natural disaster, the Nanda Devi Raj Jat Yatra which was to be held this year was postponed to next year.
Meeting the CM, the committee general secretary Bhuwan Nautiyal said that due to the focus on relief and rehabilitation works following the recent disaster, the meetings of the various committees formed to manage the different aspects of this Yatra have not been held yet. The delegation submitted a memorandum to the CM demanding that the meeting of the Nanda Raj Jat Development Council be called without delay. The delegation also demanded monthly meetings in the various districts to discuss and review preparations for this important event.
