Though the local administration/police  has always been supportive in maintaining a peaceful security environment to the visitors, this year too we are hoping the same cooperation from the local administration / police, he added.

Apart from ensuring better police behavior, maintaining vehicular traffic will be the top priority of the district administration in all the tourist destinations in Nainital.

In view of the tourist season, the district administration Nainital has also  asked the public school managements in lake city, Nainital, to cooperate in maintaining city's vehicular traffic particularly when big events/ celebrations are organised in schools.

At the same time, in a bid to ensure better utilisation of parking space available with the public schools, the Nainital district administration has also decided to set up a sub-committee. This sub-committee would conduct physical verification of the parking places available with the public schools so that the available parking space could be utilised properly. Keeping in view increasing vehicular traffic during tourist season, the Naintial district administration also appealed to public to cooperate with the local administration in maintaining the vehicular traffic.

In the meanwhile, as tourists' flow remain maximum in lake city Nainital, so if need be vehicles coming from other states will be parked away from the city towards Aries Road.

And tourists may hire prepaid taxis from that point to reach their destinations, added the officials concerned. Besides, heavy vehicles will be parked at Kailakhan after diverting them from Jyolikot to  Bhawali. Even on the Mall Road the parking will be available at some places only for a short period so that the tourists could hire hotel rooms, they further said.
