The Nainital district administration has stressed on the need to complete repair works of roads affected by natural disaster, on priority basis. Reviewing the progress of the road repair works in the aftermath of the natural disaster, Nainital District Magistrate, Akshat Gupta, on Monday asked the officials concerned to take up the natural disaster hit roads work seriously in which consent of the public representatives also needed on priority basis.
At the same time he also advised the officials concerned to follow the laid down norms properly while preparing the proposals of road repairment works. Emphasising on the need to have proper road connectivity across the district, the District Magistrate, said all the roads must be opened so that the public may not have to face any trouble. He also directed the officials concerned to ensure movements of the snow covered roads across the district particularly in hilly areas as early as possible.
