A woman has died in suspicious circumstances at Syalagu Bharpur village in lambgaon area of Tehri district. The revenue police have made records and sent the body for post mortem examination to the district Government hospital.
According to information from official sources, 27-year-old Maya Devi, wife of Ramesh Singh went to her room to sleep with her five-year-old daughter on Tuesday night. In the morning her father in law Betal Singh looked into the room after she failed to wake up in the morning. He found her hanging from a noose. Betal Singh informed the sub revenue officer Manohar lal Anjwal of the tragic incident.
A team of local officials reached the spot to probe the incident after which lal confirmed that the body of the woman was found hanging from a noose but the incident appeared suspicious as the feet of the body were resting on ground. The body has been sent to the Government hospital at Bauradi. The reason for the death would be ascertained after the post mortem report is received. The husband of the deceased, Ramesh Singh works in Delhi.
