Uttarakhand is reeling under the gang of Munna bhais who impersonate to appear in the pre-medical tests by taking fake admission in BAMS colleges. After the arrest of the key accused in fake admission from Rishikul Ayurvedic College on late Wednesday evening by SIT team, the college authorities were engaged in screening the records of the students on Thursday. The special investigation team nabbed the kingpin of the gang engaged in making Munna bhais on Wednesday who had allegedly given entrance exam in place of some other candidates and had taken money in exchange.
A case was filed against him on August 7 at Dalanwala police station in Dehradun. He was wanted by the police since then. SSI Haridwar police station Girish Chandra said that the accused Savez Mallik was involved in getting the students clear their pre- medical tests by writing their exam copies and he used to get his monetary share from his gang mates for the same.
SIT investigated the batch records of 2011 and 2012 students of Rishikul Ayurvedic College and Gurukul Ayurvedic College for two days in the city. Notably, in connection with the fraudulent case that surfaced on August 7 regarding Uttarakhand Ayush pre- medical test (UAPMT), dozens of students have been nabbed.
As per the sources, the process is underway to include a constable of Haridwar police in the SIT team to facilitate the probe in Haridwar and Dehradun.
