Uttarakhand Minister of State (independent) Women Welfare and Child Development, Rekha Arya has inspected Kedarpuram based Nari Niketan and juvenile homes along with social welfare secretary Bhupinder Kaur Aulakh on Friday. Arya inspected arrangements like kitchen, rooms/bedroom, food menu chat, toilets, play-ground and entertainment places being provided to the inmates, boys and girls. She directed the officers concerned to monitor the facilities being provided for the inmates by the Central Government. She also inspected CCTV monitoring cell and products being made by the inmates. She directed probation officer Meena Bisht to focus on cleanliness at toilets, kitchens, bedrooms and other places.
She stressed on proper treatment being given to the inmates. She also said that if possible, the inmates should be handed over their families.
