Havildar Rakesh Chandra Raturi, a resident of Dehradun has got martyred in the terrorist attack on army camp at Sunjwan in Jammu. The body of Raturi was recovered by the army teams on Monday night.
His mortal remains reached Dehradun on Tuesday evening. A native of Sankar village of Pauri district, Raturi was posted in the sixth Mahar regiment. His family at present is residing at Badowala area of Premnagar. He is survived by his wife Nanda Devi, daughter Kiran and son Nitin.
His uncle and employee leader Shikharanand Raturi said that after completing his education from Government Inter College Sankar Sain Rakesh joined army in the year 1996.
The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat has expressed deep sorrow on martyrdom of Rakesh Chandra Raturi. In his condolence message the CM said that the state government would provide every possible help to the family of martyr.
