The senior vice-president of FICCI FLO and president of WIC India Nazia Yusuf Izuddin has said that she has been facing a threat to her life. She, further, said that a mob of 150 people had barged into her house on Thursday afternoon, adding that Dehradun police are not taking her complaint regarding her safety seriously.

Addressing the media persons here on Friday, she said that attack on her residence in village Challang near Sai Baba temple, Rajpur had been led by one Pankaj Aggarwal.

She, further, said that the mob had forced into her residential premises with arms and ammunitions, physically assaulted her house help and guard and also damaged the guard house and an earth moving machine (JCB).

Accusing the police of nonchalance, she said that the police force had arrived late on the spot and have not even filed a FIR in the case against the accused as yet.

Nazia disclosed that in recent past she had issued a defamation notice against Mukesh Joshi who had tried to malign her business image. She added that though she has requested police regarding the threat she has been facing no action has been taken. “This reveals that the Dehradun police do not take the safety of women seriously. I am feeling insecure,’’ she said.
