Senior Congress leader and former MlA from Dharchula Harish Dhami was allegedly threatened by some unidentified person on his phone on Wednesday morning.

“First I received a call from the same number on June 16.But for reasons I could not respond to that phone call on June 16,” said Dhami, while talking to The Pioneer.

“Then again I received a call from the same number on Tuesday evening. However, when I could not pick up the phone this time too. The caller again rang on Wednesday morning. When I received the call this morning the caller was using abusive language on phone,” Dhami allegedly said further.

“Now I have got a case registered with the Munsiyari police station. Now it will be clear only after the investigation by the police  who was making such call and what was his motive behind making such call,” added senior Congress leader Dhami.

It is to note that Dhami has recently resigned from his Dharchula Assembly constituency to vacate the seat for none other than Chief Minister Harish Rawat. Dhami is a trusted lieutenant of Chief Minister Rawat. More so, he is also considered to be close to Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi.
