BJP MlA Bisan Singh Chufal raised the issue of 200 metre long road, which will connect Jauljivi with Rajwa, but pending for the last 16 years. He demanded immediate debate on it. Parliamentary Affairs Minister (PAM) Indira Hridayesh read out the Home Ministry order that they can’t make the road. Although Chief Minister Harish Rawat, who represents Dharchula of Pithoragarh district, assured that he would ask the department concerned to construct the remaining 200 metre stretch.
Druing Zero Hour, Chufal informed that 18 km road between Jouljivi to Rajwa (Awaltali) was sanctioned. In this, 16 km stretch was constructed around 16 years ago and remaining two km road was also made except 200 metre.
Even Jhulaghat to Kaleshwar and Kaleshwar to Awalatali, spread over six kilometer was sanctioned by the Khanduri Government but not executed because the road is being used by the smugglers, operating between India and Nepal.
