The trend of the mercury soaring up might be arrested for a couple of days as the Meteorological centre has forecast rain/thunder showers at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh districts on Friday.
Meanwhile, gathering of clouds in the sky since the afternoon ensured the maximum temperature of Dehradun dipping by a few degrees on Thursday.

The highest maximum temperature of the state 34.8°C was recorded at Rudraprayag while the lowest minimum temperature 6.8°C was recorded at Matela in Amora district. “It will trigger the wet spell in the higher reaches of Chamoli and some other districts for a couple of days from March 20,” he said.
