The Meteorological Centre has forecast light rain/thunderstorm at isolated places especially in Kumaon region of Uttarakhand on Friday. light rain/thunderstorm has been forecast at isolated places in Uttarakhand for three days starting from May 21.
The Met director Bikram Singh said that the weather forecast for Dehradun on Friday is mainly clear top partly cloudy sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 38ºC and 23ºC respectively in Dehradun on Friday. Dehradun recorded maximum temperature 38.7 degree Celsius on Thursday. This was four notches above the normal. Thin traffic has been witnessed at noon on various roads of the city.
Singh further informed that the maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded at 38.7ºC (four degree above normal) and 23.1ºC (two degree above the normal) in Dehradun while it was 25.3ºC (one degree above normal) and 15.6ºC (three degree above normal) in Mukteshwar, 28.0ºC (one degree above normal) and 19.2ºC (three degree above normal) in Tehri and 37.6ºC (one degree above the normal) and 27.1ºC (five degree above the normal) in Pantnagar on Thursday.
