Things have gone awry as far as the weather forecast by Uttarakhand Meteorological Centre is concerned. The snow and rain on Saturday occurred with no warning for them while there was not even a whiff of snow or a single drop of rain on Friday, the day marked by the weathermen for snow and rain.
Observers say that though such slight mismatch between the forecast and what really happens is normal, given the vagaries of the weather, this can prove costly for a highly vulnerable State like U’khand which is yet to leave behind the horrendous memory of the 2013 deluge.
